In the Texas high school football playoffs, it’s dwindle down to the cream of the crop, as the number of teams from the immediate area are few.

The Tenaha Tigers and Carthage Bulldogs are involved in fourth-round action this week. The 8-4 Tigers will play 12-1 Frost at 7:30 Friday night in Van. The winner moves on to the State Semi-Finals next week against the Region IV winner, Falls City or Burton.

High school basketball tonight: Center Roughriders at Arp; Center Lady Riders host Tyler All Saints; Joaquin at Carlisle; Timpson at Mt Enterprise; Hemphill at Shelbyville; Tenaha Lady Tigers host Arp; and Garrison at Martinsville.
