Shelby County Taking Bids on Remodeling the Juvenile Probation Department

 


The Shelby County Commissioners Court had a meeting on June 5, 2019, at the active Shelby County Courthouse and took the following actions:

 

1. They approved and paid weekly expenses.


2. There were no public comments taken.

 

3. They approved taking sealed bids on remodeling the Juvenile Probation building.

 

REMODEL OF JUVENILE PROBATION OFFICE TO ACCOMMODATE JP# 1

 

1. Make front door wheelchair accessible with ramp
2. Make back door wheelchair accessible with ramp and 36” metal door & into kitchen
3. Sheetrock and texture, paint reception room (walls & ceiling)
4. New doors on closet in reception room, first office, kitchen, & old bath
5. Make 3’x4” service window in reception room
6. Change door to a solid 36” (reception room to 1st office)
7.  Overlay and replace flooring in first office
8. Retexture sheetrock ceiling in first office
9. Take off old wall board ;texture walls and paint first office
10. New door on closet in first office
11. Remodel the old bath with sink, toilet and shelves 
12. Fix roof leak in reception room
13. Install vinyl plank flooring in reception room and 1st office
14. Electrical – to be discussed
15. Remove closets between entry & old kitchen
16. 5 interior doors to seal - will be explained while walk through
17. 11” X 14” walled room inside of the first office – bid with & and bid without
18. Demo and remodel old kitchen
