On Friday, May 31, 2019, at around 9:30 a.m. a one-vehicle wreck occurred on FM 414 near the Campti community. According to a DPS officer on the scene, the driver was identified as Karen Walkers of Center, Texas.

 

 

 

 

Walkers was traveling westbound on FM 414 along with a 2-year-old passenger when she swerved to miss a dog crashing into a tree. No injuries or fatalities were reported by officials on the scene.

The Center Fire Department, Hughes Wrecker Service, and the Texas DPS all responded to the scene to help slow traffic and clear the area of the wreck.
