Shelby County Commissioners' Court Meeting Results

 

 


The Shelby County Commissioners' Court met on the morning of May 15, 2019, at the active Shelby County Courthouse.

 

The court approved the payment of weekly expenses and the current payroll. Merle Howard with the William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic addressed the court to requested funds to help restore Historic Bell. Her request was approved by the court. A closed executive session was held. They reopened the special meeting to the public and tabled the items in the executive meeting. No public comments were given on the agenda items.

 

A public hearing was scheduled to be held on adopting tax abatement guidelines for Shelby County, designating a reinvestment zone by Shelby County and approving a tax abatement agreement between Tyson Foods and Shelby County at 9:30 a.m. on the 22nd day of May, 2019, on the third floor of the Shelby County Courthouse located at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Texas 75935.
