The Tenaha High School BBQ team traveled to Burnet, TX on May 4th for the 2019 Texas High School BBQ Championship. The team competed at several competitions throughout the year and qualified for an opportunity to compete at the championship by winning the Tyler Regional Cook Off held earlier this year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The team, pictured above are from left to right; Trevor Lampley, Jeremy Patton, Jonisha Thompson, Lupe Sandoval, and Hunter Collins. They are under the direction of David DePriest and Josh Campbell. The Team took 19th in beans, 9th in chicken, 1st in ribs, and 5th in brisket finishing 3rd overall in the championship.
