Timpson City Council meeting on Tuesday

When the Timpson City Council meets on Tuesday, they’ll be considering the elimination of the local 911 dispatching for fire and ambulance, which would be turned over to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Also, on the agenda will be authorizing changes to the animal control procedures, as presented by control officer Jack Burrous; as well as consider approval of bid on property; consider approval of an ordinance establishing maximum speeds for motor vehicles in certain designated areas as designated by TxDOT, in addition to designating Paula Mullins as interim/acting city secretary until the position is filled. Tanya (Tonya) Windham resigned as city secretary last week to pursue another job. A resolution will also be presented to allow citizens of Timpson to choose whether or not to establish a ground water conservation district. That’s a meeting of the Timpson City Council at 5:30 Tuesday evening.
