Nacogdoches County Wreck

 

 

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a crash this morning on County Road 265 involving a Union Pacific train and a passenger vehicle.


The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 10:30 a.m., a 2007 Nissan passenger car was traveling west on CR 265 and failed to yield right of way to railroad crossing warning signs and was struck by a train that was traveling south.


The driver of the Nissan is identified as 21-year-old Lataria Session from Nacogdoches. Session and a 12-year-old male passenger were both transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for treatment. No injuries were sustained to any railroad personnel.


This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
