The Nacogdoches Police Department is currently investigating a major auto accident that occurred late Thursday morning. 

Police were notified of a major accident 3000 E. Main @ Crestwood Dr by an NSO deputy that happened upon the accident. 

NPD dispatch was notified at 11:05 am Thursday morning of the accident. NPD, NFD, NMH EMS and NSO all assisted in giving aid to the driver and only occupant of the vehicle. 

An NPD Traffic investigation revealed that a single vehicle with a single occupant was westbound on E. Main and for unknown reasons, left the roadway at the intersection of Crestwood Dr, on the north side of the road. The silver 4 door Hyundai struck a pine tree and came to a rest. 

The driver was identified as Sadajia Kevion White, 21, of 3413 E. Main St. She was in critical condition and transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. 

The investigation will continue to determine the cause of the accident.
