A woman remains in the hospital after being thrown off of a ferris wheel ride at the Louisiana State Fair on Saturday night. Witnesses standing in line when the accident happened report a lady was ejected from her seat on the "Fun Factory" ride to a spot on the pavement about 20 feet away. Shreveport Fire Department Chief Scott Wolverton says the victim was transported to LSU Hospital in Shreveport and is now in fair condition. Chris Giordano, president of the Louisiana State Fair said "It looks like it wasn't a human error or a ride malfunction but simply an accident,". The State Fire Marshal's office, along with Shreveport Police and State Patrol are investigating the accident. A cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
