On March 19, 2019, Sheriff Jayson Richardson and the DeSoto Council On Aging hosted Senior Fun Day at the DeSoto Parish Training Facility.  Lunch was provided by the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office which consisted of fried fish, chicken strips, fries, coleslaw, and ice cream for the over 100 senior citizens in attendance.  Many door prizes were given out as local seniors participated in Blackout BINGO among other games.  Sheriff Richardson would like to thank all involved that helped make the event a success including:  DeSoto Council on Aging, Guest Speakers Don Norwood and Terry Tisdale, District 8 Fire, DeSoto EMS, and many deputies with the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office.  It was a great time, and we look forward to more great events such as this in the future!
