Dist. Judge 123^rd Judicial District : Includes Shelby and Panola Counties

Incumbent Guy Griffin – loses to challenger Charles “Brick” Dickerson, 9,275 to 9,652. Griffin outpolled Dickerson in Shelby County, taking 56% of the vote. However, Dickerson’s home county of Panola gave the challenger the votes to win.

In the presidential race, even though President Barack Obama pulled out a victory with the electoral votes, In Shelby County Mitt Romney led 74.04% to Obama's 24.98%.
