On February 28, 2019, the sentencing trial of Raymond Fleming, Jr. finished up in the 273rd Judicial District Court, the Honorable James A. Payne Jr. presiding. 

 

After closing arguments from the State and Defense, Judge Payne sentenced Mr. Fleming as follows: 24 Months incarceration in the Texas Department of Corrections Criminal Justice State Jail Division for the charge of Forgery (State Jail) in 18-CR-20854; 24 Months incarceration in the Texas Department of Corrections Criminal Justice State Jail Division for the charge of Forgery (State Jail) in 18-CR-20855; 10 Years incarceration in the Texas Department of Corrections Criminal Justice Institutional Division for the charge of Forgery against an Elderly Person (Third Degree Felony) in 18-CR-20853; and 20 Years incarceration in the Texas Department of Corrections Criminal Justice Institutional Division for the charge of Forgery against an Elderly Person (Second Degree Felony) in 18-CR-20856.  These were the maximum sentences of imprisonment that Mr. Fleming could receive.
