DeSoto Parish schools superintendent calls it quits

Long-time DeSoto Parish schools superintendent, Walter Lee has called it quits. Lee advised school board members last Thursday night at their regular meeting he would be stepping down. He served 21-years as head of the DeSoto Parish school board. Lee said the district is facing some belt-tightening resulting from the Haynesville Shale downfall. Cade Brumley, who’s served as assistant superintendent for the past year, will be the interim until a superintendent in contracted.
