General Election to kick off tomorrow

If early voting is any indication, tomorrow’s election turn-out could see one of the heavier General Election days in a number of years. At the close of early voting Friday, 3,906 had voted in Shelby County. In addition, Shelby County Clerk Allison Harbison’s office had sent out 499 ballots by mail, which includes military personnel. This year’s early voting was termed, “heavy” in Shelby County, however, it was a little less than the 4,011 from 2008. In the City of Center Position 2 Council race, 125 voted early.  San Augustine County’s early voting total on Friday was 1,918, which is around 200 voters less than 2008, according to Election’s Administrator Deborah Woods.  Your usual voting location will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow for General Election voting. The weather will be no problem, as we’re expected to have Sunny conditions.  We invite you to join Center Broadcasting company stations for election coverage starting at 7 Tuesday night. We’ll join forces with the Texas State Network to bring you national and state results, and of course, local elections on KDET, and during Don Wall’s Coaches Show on Q-100 KQBB. You’ll also be able to listen to coverage as we stream online at cbc-radio.com.
