Police were called to 1723 Clarice St in reference to a gunshot victim in the early evening of January 14th 2019.  At 5:34 PM Officers were dispatched to a report of a gunshot victim at 1723 Clarice St.  Officers located a single gunshot victim at the residence. 

 

The victim was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper leg and was transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and believed to be in stable condition.   

 

The victim was identified to be Joel Garcia 30 years of age from Nacogdoches, Texas.  At this time it appears a male suspect was outside the residence near the street and discharged a firearm multiple times at the victim striking him once in the leg. The suspect then fled in a white four-door car. Detectives are still actively working on identifying the suspect in this case.
