North of IH 20 is now in the level 4 ENHANCED RISK.

Those of us South of IH 20 have moved from the level 2 MARGINAL RISK into the level 3 Slight Risk area and that does include a line from Shreveport to Longview and South to Livingston and on to the West into the Dallas area.

The threat of severe thunderstorms will return to the NWS Shreveport Region on Friday as a power storm system tracks East into the area. Areas near and North of Interstate 20 have been upgraded from a slight to an enhanced risk.

Timing and Overview:

Although a few thunderstorms may develop during the morning hours on Friday, it appears that the main threat of severe storms will occur later in the afternoon and evening, and possibly continue well into the overnight hours.
