The Shelby County Grand Jury handed down an indictment of First Degree Capital Murder Tuesday against Bobbie Dwayne Grubbs and Debra Grubbs, stemming from the shooting of three in Joaquin earlier this year. Martha Avacedo Chan died from injuries sustained at the Joaquin Country Inn on April 27. Sam Watts and Marilyn Retamar, also received gunshot wounds, but survived the incident. The Grubbs have been in the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe after being captured near Cleveland. They're awaiting trial for charges there resulting from another incident, prior to the crime in Shelby County. Bobbie Dwayne Grubbs and Debra Grubbs will be transferred back to Shelby County to stand trial upon completion of their Montgomery County trial.
