Man Flees in Vehicle From Center PD

 

 

On October 30, 2018 at approximately 0745 hours Sgt. Knowlton, of the Center Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on Arcadia Road with a vehicle for a traffic violation.  During the traffic stop the driver of the vehicle was identified as Troy Anderson and was known by Sgt. Knowlton to have an active parole warrant for his arrest.  After instructing Mr. Anderson to exit his vehicle, Mr. Anderson placed his vehicle in drive and sped away from the scene.  Pursuit of the vehicle was then conducted with the pursuit ending on CR 1490- after the suspect vehicle became stuck in a ditch. Mr. Anderson then fled on foot where he was apprehended a short time later by K9 Elliott.  Suspected methamphetamine was later recovered from the suspect’s vehicle and a firearm- that was reported as stolen out of Timpson, TX- was recovered after it was removed from Mr. Anderson right hand by K9 Elliott.  Mr. Anderson was subsequently arrested and booked into the jail for the following charges:


1.Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1>=1G<4G
2.Evading Arrest/Detention w/ a Motor Vehicle 
3.Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence w/ Intent to Impair
4.Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
5.Parole Warrant
