According to DPS officials, a three-vehicle wreck took place around 4:25 last Friday on Highway 96 and has resulted in the arrest of one driver. The accident was near near Folsom Chapel Road (FM 2026). According to reports, a 1996 camouflage Dodge Ram 1500 owned and driven by Franco Mauro, 41, of Center failed to control speed on the wet roadway. The driver of the truck struck a 2008 silver Dodge Avenger driven by Marina Leann Forbes, 21, of Center with passengers James Forbes, 50, and a one-year-old minor child. The car was then pushed into a 1994 white Ford Ranger pickup truck, that was preparing to make a left turn onto FM 2026, driven by Jerry Dean Lovett with a 10-year-old minor child passenger. The driver of the truck was arrested at the scene for failure to control speed and no drivers license.
