Sheriff Jayson Richardson wanted to make the public aware of an arrest of a murder suspect following a welfare concern.  DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call, on, October 11, 2018, at about 12:10 p.m. requesting a welfare check in the 2000 block of Highway 191 in Logansport, LA. 

 

Deputies were dispatched and upon arrival located a female victim with a suspected gunshot wound.  The scene was secured by patrol deputies and detectives were dispatched to collect evidence and process the scene. 

 

The female victim was tentatively identified as Rosemary Foley (Age: 65).  Detectives were able to form leads and identify Clardis E. Galloway Jr. (W/M –DOB: 03/07/1999) as a suspect in the murder.  Galloway was taken into custody without incident.  This case is actively being investigated and further details may be released at a later date.
