Shelbyville HWY Car Wreck Update

 

 

UPDATE:

 

SHELBY COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigated a two-vehicle crash on the morning of 9-19-18 on SH 87, just south of Center.  The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 11:40 a.m., a 2010 Chevrolet passenger car was traveling south on SH 87 and was slowing down to turn left onto County Road 3008 when a 2004 Chevrolet pickup failed to control speed and struck the passenger car from behind.  

 

The driver of the passenger car is identified as 68-year-old Barbara Neal from Center. Neal was not reportedly injured during the crash.  The driver of the pickup is identified as 35-year-old Sheena Pineda from Conroe.


Pineda was also not reportedly injured during the crash. A fifteen-month-old child traveling with Pineda was transported to a Center hospital for possible treatment.  No additional information is available at this time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On 9-19-18 at around 11:40 a.m. a two-vehicle wreck occurred on Shelbyville Highway 87 South between Center and Shelbyville, TX. The wreck occurred just outside of Center.  No serious injuries or fatalities were reported by the Center Fire Department. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The wreck involved a passenger truck and passenger car.  The Center Fire Department, Alligenace EMS formerly known as ACE EMS, Texas DPS all arrived on scene within minutes after the crash.  The road was blockaded and the DPS and Center Fire Department performed traffic control.

Hughes Wrecker service and East Texas Towing & Storage wrecker services both responded.  The vehicles were moved and the Center Fire Department returned to the station at approximately 12 noon.
