Lizzie Berry 83, of San Augustine passed away Friday at Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin.  Visitation will be today from 12:30 p.m. Until 6:30 p.m. at Garner & Son Mortuary.  Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Mount Dena Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Mount Dena Cemetery.

 

Judge Jack Pierce, 84, longtime district judge in the East Texas area, passed away on Thursday.  Visitation will be at the Nacogdoches County Courthouse on today from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the 145th District Courtroom.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow at First Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.  Services are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.

 

Mae Alice (Parrish) Burns, 81, of Houston, passed away Monday in Shreveport, LA.  Visitation will be today from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. tomorrow in Restland Cemetery in Tenaha.

 

Shelton Keith Bryant, 44, of Missouri City, Texas passed away Tuesday at his residence in Missouri City, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm today at Community Funeral Home in Center. Funeral Services will be tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at the Triumph First Pentecostal Church in Shelbyville.

 

Willie James Grisby Jr., 58, of Center passed away Saturday night at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Center.  He is survived by a Daughter, Kristen Cartwright of Houston and 2 brothers, Eric Grisby of Center and Michael Charles Grisby of Houston.

 

Alvin Eddie Miller, 74, of Joaquin, passed away yesterday in Austin.  Miller served on the Joaquin I.S.D. school board for nine years and was president for several years.  Visitation will be held at Watson and Sons Funeral Home tomorrow from 6 to 8 pm. A service celebrating Eddie's life will be held at Watson and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday at 4 pm.  Graveside service will follow at Ramah Cemetery.  Eddie is survived by his wife, Jeanne and 3 sons Larry Miller, Dr. Jason Miller and Dr. Kevin Miller.
