Shelby County Commissioners' Court Meeting Results

 

 

 
 
 
 
The Shelby County Commissioners' Court met today 9-5-18 at 9:30 a.m. at the active Shelby County Courthouse and took the following actions:
 
 
1.  They approved and paid weekly expenses.
 
 
2. They approved and paid the current payroll.  
 
 
3. They discussed and decided to keep the burn ban in effect for Shelby County.
 
 
4. The Precinct 1 Commissioner discussed purchasing a Right of Way trimming device.  
 
 
Constable Pct. 3 Roy Cheatwood
 
5. They discussed and approved the donation of a 2008 Crown Vic to Constable Pct. Roy Cheatwood from Kyle Allen.  The Court also approved to pay $400 for the insurance and $450 to the sign shop for labeling the vehicle. In addition, the Court will be working on an interlocal agreement with the City of Joaquin to pay for fuel. A citizen did express his concerns with what Roy Cheatwood was doing.  
 
 
 
 
6. They discussed and tabled establishing a deputy constable position for Constable Precinct 3.  The Court will be looking into the liability insurance coverage for the position.
 
 
7. Lastly, the court adjourned.
