ANGELINA COUNTY – Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers

apprehended a wanted felon this evening after responding to a report of domestic

violence at a residence on State Highway 103.

 

The preliminary information indicates at approximately 2 p.m., upon arrival of the

Troopers, the fugitive who was known to law enforcement fled from the scene on

foot. He was apprehended a short time later after officers utilized a Taser to

apprehend him.

 

The suspect is identified as 42-year-old Zane Williams from Lufkin. Williams was

wanted on multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants through several agencies.

Williams was transported to the Angelina County Jail where he was charged with

additional felony and misdemeanor charges. The Lufkin Police Department, the

Angelina County Sheriff’s Department and Hudson Police also responded to the

scene.
