Nacogdoches officers located suspects at the Valero Station in the 3000 block of Durst Street attempting to install a skimming device. Officers recovered computers and electronic equipment used for tampering with consumer information. While at the scene, one of the suspects fled officers on foot. After a lengthy foot pursuit, the suspect disappeared into a wooded area. The suspect is described as a hispanic male. Officers have a tentative identification on this suspect. The other suspect, arrested at the scene, was Aniel Dominguez Ballester, age 25, of Houston, Texas. He was charged with unlawful use of a criminal instrument and resisting arrest or search. Later yesterday 8-28-18, based on evidence discovered in the investigation, Ballester was charged additionally with unlawful interception or disclosure of wire, oral or electronic information, a second degree felony. As of this time he remains in the Nacogdoches County Jail. The investigation is still underway.
