Isaac evacuees are headed back home

Hundreds of Isaac evacuees are headed back home to South Louisiana.  The Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness confirms that starting around 10:00 pm Monday night, evacuees at the Jewella Avenue shelter began boarding buses for the long ride home.  Most of them will be taken to post-storm shelters that are set up in the parishes where they live.  The transports started with evacuees who had confirmed jobs. Transports were expected to continue until after midnight and then start up again mid-morning on Tuesday.  Director Sandy Davis said that by Wednesday, most of the 1,000 evacuees housed at the Jewella Avenue shelter would be back in South Louisiana.
