The Shelby County Commissioners Court met today 5-23-18 at 9:30 a.m. at the active Shelby County Courthouse and took the following actions:

 

1. They approved and paid weekly expenses and last week's payroll.

 

2. Tonia Epperson a citizen addressed the Commissioners' Court about County Road 4840 in Timpson and how it is in need of maintance.

3. J.R. Irybarren with R&J Recycling and Disposal addressed the Commissioners' Court about a transfer station for Shelby County and was approved the right to place a transfer station in the county the company will still need to get city approval from the Center City Council as they wish to place the transfer station in Center.  

 

4. Commissioner Pct.1 and Pct.2 accepted bids on the following equipment:  A Case 580 backhoe $12,400.00, a 1994 model Mac Truck $6,859.00, no bids were accepted on the trailers they have up for sale. 

 

5. Lastly the court adjourned.
