Weather Update

Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Weather Advisory to begin Just East of the Dallas area for all 48 contiguous Counties and Parishes in the 4 state Shreveport Region. The event could be in our area by mid afternoon. This bears close watching as the atmosphere has NO CAP and it is anticipated that the Vertical Lift and twisting wind shear at all levels will give way to long duration Supercell Tornadoes, Dangerous Lightning, Large Hail, Rain that trains over the areas under the storms with the possibility of flash flooding (2-3+ inches) and Very Strong Winds. The winds are already beginning to increase to the 20 MPH range today and that will inturn cause a Lake Wind Advisory by afternoon today ahead of the front. I will have more details as the latest details from the briefing are posted.

HAVE A PLAN! BE PREPARED!

Some close watch on the weather should be taken. Some locations in the areas are already curtailing events and giving thought to early release from schools.
