“Officials with the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, Sabine National Forest, have advised a prescribed burn located in Compartments 18 & 19,  2902 acres (Block A, B,C & D)  in Shelby County.  This area is located near Boles Field Recreation Area off of Farm Market Highways 2694 & 3471 and New Harmony community. 

 

 

 

Please see the attached map of the projected burn areas.

 

Winds will be North  @ 5 mph gusting to 7 mph.

 

 

 

Ignition time of 1000 and completion estimated at 1730 with helicopter assistant.
