Wreck in Joaquin

 

UPDATE:

 

On Wednesday February 21st, 2018 at approximately 8:00 p.m. a wreck occurred in Joaquin, TX a vehicle struck a transformer knocking out the power for the area.  The Joaquin Fire Department were paged out at 8:10 p.m. One adult and one minor were transported by ACE EMS the minor had minor injuries, there were no serious injuries or fatalities that occurred.  
 
The Joaquin fire department performed traffic control and left the scene at 4:48 a.m.  However they did not return to the station but were paged out to a house fire in the Lone Cedar Community.  A roof had caught fire due to electrical issues, however the tireless Joaquin Fire Department fought and defeated the blaze saving the home.

 

 

 

There was a wreck in Joaquin last night 2-28-18 a vehicle hit a pole and there were reports of power outages in Joaquin.  According to the Shelby County Sheriff's office as of this morning power company crews are still doing repairs.
