Shelby County Commissioners' Court Meeting Results

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Shelby County Commissioners Court met this morning 2-21-18 at the active Shelby County Courthouse Community room.  Judge Allison Harbison opened the meeting with a moment of silence followed by the pledges.  They took the following actions:
 
 
1. They approved and paid weekly expenses.
 
2. They approved and paid the current payroll.
 
3. There were no comments from the public on agenda items, however Ann Blackwell County Treasurer did address the Court about having weekly meeting again to approve paying the bills each week.
 
4. The Court accepted the donation of .67 acres of land situated in the Jesse Amason Survey and located at 514 Nacogdoches Street in Center, Texas.
 
5. They approved the motion to advertised for bids to remodel the bottom floor of the Courthouse Annex.
 
6. They approved the creation of an account to deposit monies related to the operation of the Shelby County Drug Court – including, but not limited to, holding funds from fees, grant monies, and monies designated by the Commissioner’s Court for the operation of the Shelby County Drug Court.  District Attorney Steven Shires will still need to establish a budget in a future meeting.  
 
7. Lastly the Court adjourned.
