At today's 1-19-18 Golden Harvest Ministries Club Meeting the Mayor of the City of Center David Chadwick gave a presentation about the upcoming Little League World Series that will be hosted here in Center, TX.  The event will be held this summer July 20th - 23rd. 

 

 

There will be around 40 teams which will be around 750 players and coaches together.  There is expected to around 1,400 addition family members coming with the players.  This year there will be many ways one can get involved with the tournament you can even be host family for a team.  There will be different activities the first day for visitors to do including tug-o-war and many other physical activities, with the evening ending with a fireworks show to kick-off the tournament. 

 

The John D. Windham Civic Center will serve as a hub for the visitors and our local hotels are already preparing for the event.  Tune in to Center Radio KDET 930 AM and KQBB 100.5 FM tomorrow morning 2-20-18, to hear David Chadwick Mayor of Center give us the details about the event.
