Shelby County Commissioners' Court Meeting Results

 

 

 
 
 
At today's 1-22-18 Shelby County Commissioners Court the Court meet at 9:30 a.m. at the active Shelby County Courthouse.  Before the meeting Justin Mott with Center Broadcasting Company gave the opening prayer. Judge Allison Haribson then lead the court in the pledges to the U.S and Texas flags.  The Court took the following actions: 
 
 
1. The Court approved and paid weekly expenses.
 
2. The Court discussed changing the two Regular meeting days for Commissioners’ Court from the 2nd and 4th Monday to the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.  They decided to leave it as is.
 
3. The Court discussed and approved an In-Kind Match Commitment with DETCOG and the Deep East Texas Economic Development District for office space within the Courthouse to assist DETCOG and the District in obtaining an EDA Grant to fund a Disaster Recovery Coordinator for the 12 County Region.
 
4. The Court approved an Interlocal Agreement between Shelby County and the City of Center regarding the purchase, placement, and utilities for a Communication Building to house radio equipment for Emergency Service Agencies located within Shelby County.
 
5. They recorded the filling of the Vehicle Inventory Tax Fund Audit for January 2018.
 
6. They discussed and approved installing lighting for the County Extension parking lot.  The cost of installing the lighting is $4,238.40 and it will be taken out of the Courthouse Repair fund.   
 
7. They recorded the Racial Profiling Report for the Shelby County District Attorney’s office.
 
8. Lastly the court adjourned.
