Weather Update

NWS Shreveport Snowfall and Cold Records set we came in at 11.6 degrees for our low with a windchill of 3 and 1/2 inch of snow here in the mid San Augustine County.

Today we begin to wrap up our current cold spell all across the Shreveport NWS Region with
today's start of a warming trend. We should see our temperature top out at 46 degrees today with lots of Sunshine to melt the remainder of the ice after a morning start of 13 degrees at 7AM. IT IS ALREADY 34.8 degrees with almost NO WIND

Friday's start will be just below freezing at 29 degrees, but that will be our last freezing evening and morning for the next week to 10 days. Friday's high will come in at 50+ with clouds covering us with a blanket...however, that blanket will retain the heat and have a low on Saturday morning of temperatures in the mid 40's.

Saturday in the mid 60's for highs with strong return of Southerly winds (10-12 mph) ahead of another Cold front that will bring some Sunday Showers through Sunday evening....1/2 to 3/4 inch and winds turn to the NW at 10-12.

Monday Sunny and a little cooler (54 degrees)due to the NW winds.

Tuesday will begin a bounce back into the lower 60s with sunny skies until a week for tomorrow when another rain chance returns.
