NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX – Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)

Troopers investigated a two vehicle fatal crash this afternoon 12-6-17 on US 59, just north

of FM 941.

 

The preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 1997 GMC

pickup failed to yield right of way from a parking lot and was struck by a 2003

International commercial vehicle traveling north on US 59.

 

The driver of the truck tractor is identified as David Trawick, 62, from Rusk, TX.

Trawick was not reported as being injured as a result of the crash.

 

The driver of the GMC pickup is identified as Elizabeth Gomez, 22, from

Nacogdoches, TX. Gomez was pronounced deceased at a Nacogdoches hospital.

This crash remains under investigation.
