Tom Johnson Weather Update

FRIDAY - 67 degrees for a daytime high with a low of 37 degrees before daylight. Cloudy, scattered T-storms with light Rain that begins near 8:00 am and looks to continue until about 3:00 pm in the afternoon with a total rainfall reaching near 1/2 inch. This is a slight increase from yesterday's estimate. Our winds will be a factor.... from the North Northwest with gusts to 15 mph beginning with the cold front and rain extending at times throughout the day time hours. Clearing late in the day as the front moves rapidly through the area.

SATURDAY - Clear, with Lots of Sunshine, BUT accompanied with some miserable weather to start the day. It all begins with a temperature of 35 degrees between 5-8:00 am. Winds begin to gust again to 10-12 mph until noon when it begins to diminish and dies off at about 3:00 pm. Until the sun's warmth arrives and takes us to our high of 57 degrees mid day, the 5-8 o'clock morning time will carry a windchill of close to freezing.

FROST - With clearing skies Friday evening and again on Saturday, mid 30's for low temperatures, our day time heat radiating into the atmosphere, we will likely see "Frost on the Pumpkins" in our low lying areas each morning. It might be good to consider covering your tropical plants or dragging the pots indoors for a couple of days.
