Saturday and into Sunday looks to have some severe weather associated with
it. The severe stuff right now looks to stay North of IH30. For us we will
hear some thunder, see some lightning and have some wind gusts from the
outer flow boundaries of the T-storms. Some of the down drafts to 20+ miles
per hour.
We are in the general Thunder area. However lightning and gusty winds are
a possibility. SO, be aware of sudden changes.
The further to the North you go into the severe stuff you will see higher
amounts of rainfall. For us 1 to Maybe 1 1/2 inches at most?. A number of
Deep East Texas Counties have declared Burn Bans due to our worsening
drought conditions especially to our North. The good news is this is
widespread. Just not enough to give us more than temporary drought relief.
The cold, dry air and winds will evaporate what moisture we do get very
quickly.
