Shelby County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Lance Jacobs, reminds producers that the Shelby County FSA office is closed to the public as of August 24, 2012. There are 125 Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices closing nationwide, including 15 county offices in Texas. FSA office consolidations are part of USDA's Blueprint for Stronger Service.  The new headquarter office will be Nacogdoches County. Producers were given the opportunity to move their respective business records to a county of their choosing if a county other than the default headquarter location was more convenient. Producers who did not select an alternative headquarter county were automatically transferred to Nacogdoches County, the default headquarter county.  The Nacogdoches County FSA office is located at 4611 NW Stallings Drive in Nacogdoches and can be reached by phone at 936-564-5891 Extension 2.
