Weather Update

 

*It's not over until it's over. We are in the lesser severe outer bands,
yet we have sustained winds of 8-10 mph with the highest gust so far to 21
mph. We have put 1.26 inches in our gauges since mid night here in San
Augustine. The severe portion extends through our Jasper//Newton neighbors
just to our South. *
 
*BE AWARE THESE RAINBANDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT TODAY!!! The forecast is
that we will get 5+ inches of rain between now and 5 am tomorrow when it
should all be out of here except for the clouds.*
 
*We will have several periods of light rain and  less wind, but that will
just be lulls in the storm with heavier bands coming until Harvey moves
further inland and stops pulling Gulf moisture into the storm.*
 
 
*Currently just South of  Beaumont, Texas between there and Lake
Charles La.  It looks like landfall will NOT be until Noon today East of
Lake Charles (50mph winds)on a course toward Alexandria, La by mid night
tonight. Headed toward Jackson, Mississippi then toward Memphis, Tennessee
tomorrow.*
 
 
*We are and will continue to get the wrap around rain and winds. Just NOT
like the SE portion and Coastal areas of Texas//Louisiana.*
