Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to and investigated a one vehicle fatal crash on FM 139 about three miles north of Huxley yesterday evening at approximately 9:15 p.m.

 

The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2002 Oldsmobile passenger car was

traveling south on FM 139 when the vehicle drove off the roadway to the left and

struck a utility pole.

 

The driver of the vehicle is identified as Robert Jones, 28, from Shelbyville. Jones

was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash by Justice of the Peace Marla

Denby.

 

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at

this time.
