Earlier this morning at approximately 9:00 a.m. a wreck occurred on HWY 7 between Center and Nacogdoches near fm 711 involving a passenger car, Hughes wrecker service responded along with emergency personnel from the Center Fire Department and Shelby County Sheriff's office. The road was blockaded. 

 

 

According to the Texas DPS the vehicle was driven by Ayan Ahmed 30 of Nacogdoches.  The driver was traveling at an unsafe speed left the road way hit a small tree and then entered the east bound lane overturning. There were no other vehicles involved and no passengers.  

 

The driver was taken to the Nacogdoches Medical Center in Center and issued a citation for traveling at an unsafe speed. The roadway was cleared by emergency personnel and traffic resumed.
