Center ISD Agriculture Science Building Expansion Project

On April 14, 2016, the Center ISD Board of Trustees approved two projects, an agriculture science building, and tennis facility expansion. After nearly 16 months of planning, preparation, and construction, the district is excited to announce the completion of the agriculture science building. The new expansion project consists of 10,500 square feet to meet the present and future needs of the agriculture science program.

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) department of Center High School (CHS) has seen remarkable growth and student interest over the past ten years. Currently, the CTE agriculture science program is one of the fastest growing at CHS, and many of our related programs were displaced in rooms not designed for such advanced and specialized courses. Additionally, the lack of adequate space left many interested students without the opportunity to take certain courses.

On August 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., Center ISD will hold a ribbon cutting to open the new facility. The expansion project includes specialized classrooms for agribusiness, animal science, floral design, power, structure, and technical systems, and a meeting room for FFA and other leadership activities. We welcome you to join us on for this special moment and event.
