Appeals court could set Kenny Boyd Free

Last month, 15-years after Kenneth Wayne Boyd's arrest, Shelby County District Judge Charles Mitchell agreed with Boyd's defense team that his conviction should be tossed out because evidence in his case was wrongly suppressed by prosecutors, and that they used knowingly false testimony.  However, Boyd who convicted of killing three people must now wait until possibly mid-September before an appeals court returns to make a ruling that could set him free.  Karren Price is now in a run-off election against current D.A. Kenneth Florence, that could make her D.A. once again.  An appeals court could now grant Kenny Boyd a new trial or even set him free, when they return from their summer break.  Two private investigators are working with the Center Police Department since the department has re-opened the triple murder investigation as an open case.
