Local authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a carjacking incident on Sunday July 22, at approximately 11:20 p.m. A 911 call was received by the Center Police Department shortly after concerning the stolen vehicle. The suspect took the white 1999 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab 4X4 pickup truck with license plate BD4-8928 from the Shofner Washateria located at 111 Thomas Street in Center. The pickup has a black brush guard on the front of the truck, a black tool box in the bed, and a Texas emblem on the rear window. The suspect is described as a black male 6'1" to 6'4", wearing a black shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a black cloth over his face.
