International Child Pornography Investigation

A federal judge in Shreveport, Louisiana has handed down a life sentence to a Fort Bliss Sailor for his part in a global online network of child porn. Two others, Jonathan Mayor from Newport, Tennessee, and Micah turner from Roy, Utah were sentenced to 17 1/2 years. Their sentences are the result of a federal investigation that started in the Ark-La-Tex in 2009. The investigation was called Operation Delego and it targeted 72 Dreamboard members from fourteen countries including the U.S. Prosecutors describe Dreamboard as a once highly managed website- based community dedicated to the sexual abuse of children and the creation and dissemination of graphic images and videos of child sexual abuse throughout the world. In all, 42 members have been convicted. Their sentences range from fifteen years to life in prison. The U.S. Attorney's Office estimates that prosecuting all of these cases will take about two years.
