In spite of all the rain last week, the 23^rd annual What-A-Melon Festival went off without a hitch.  The crowds increased as the days went by enjoying all the great food, sites, and sounds.  The highlight of the fesival by far was the Largest Watermelon Contest.  There were 27 entries in the contest this year but one young lady reigned supreme.  The largest watermelon belonged to Olivia Johnson. Olivia's largest watermelon won her the grand prize money for the 4th year in a row!    Last year Olivia won with a watermelon weighing 146.5 lbs. But thanks to the rain and some talented farming, Olivia's winning watermelon weighed 168.75 lbs.  2^nd,3^rd, 4^th and 5^th places winners were also apart of Olivia's family, making it a victory for the whole family.  Overall, the annual What-A-Melon festival was a great for all.
