POLK COUNTY, TX- On October 26, at about 4:45 p.m., Texas Department of

Public Safety troopers responded to and investigated a two vehicle crash on FM

350 South approximately three miles South of US 190.

 

The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2001 International school bus was

traveling North on FM 350. The bus had reportedly dropped off a child and was

beginning to continue traveling north when the bus was struck from behind by a

2010 Ford Transit.

 

The driver of the school bus was identified as 45-year-old Jennifer Watson from

Onalaska, TX. The driver of the Ford was identified as 57-year-old Jeffrey Sherry

from Livingston, TX.

 

The driver of the school bus and one child passenger were not reported as being

injured as a result of the crash.

 

Sherry was transported from the scene to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Livingston

where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

 

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at

this time.
