TISD Mourns Loss of Mrs. Evans

We here at Tenaha ISD are saddened to report the news of the passing of Mrs. Paulyne Evans.  For half a century, Mrs. Evans served the students of Tenaha schools.

For her many years of devoted service, Mrs. Evans has been honored as a member of the Tenaha Hall of Honor as well as the namesake of one the annual Superintendent Staff Awards presented each year.

We join the entire Tiger Family in offering our deepest sympathies and well wishes to the family as they mourn this great loss.

Road Trip:  Tigers Travel to Clarksville

Less than 100 yards of total offense, and only one touchdown allowed through three games.  That is the defense that Coach Craig Horn will load up with and head North to familiar Basketball rival Clarksville for a non-district contest tomorrow night at 7:30 PM.  The Tigers met Clarksville in back to back years at the Regional Tournament finals winning once and losing in the return matchup.  The Tiger offense also looks to capitalize on a nice streak as well as it has amassed some gaudy numbers the last two weeks in a 43-12 win over Kerens, and a 67-0 blowout win over Dallas Gateway.

The Tigers enter the 4th non-district game 3-0 and ranked number 2 in Class 2A Division II behind two-time defending state champion Bremond.  Tenaha returns home next week to close out non-district play against West Sabine in Tiger Stadium.
