Polk County, TX- On September 6, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Texas Department

of Public Safety troopers responded to and investigated a one vehicle crash on

Wilson Lake Estate Rd. in Polk County.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2015 Jeep was traveling South on

Wilson Lake Estate Rd. The vehicle drove off the roadway and into a creek where

it overturned onto its ride side, partially submerged under water.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 25-year-old, Dake Goodwin from

Livingston. Goodwin was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the

Peace Larry Whitworth.

 

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at

this time.
