Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Leadership Shelby County Class of 2017
 
The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce will welcome the Leadership Shelby County Class of 2017 with a casual dinner at Sombreros on Wednesday, August 17. The Leadership Shelby County committee and alumni will be the hosts and hostess for the event.  Leadership Shelby County is a yearlong program designed to identify potential leaders and develop within these individuals the knowledge, skills and vision necessary to enable them to actively participate in the enhancement of their communities.  
 
Class members for the 2016-2017 Leadership class include Bobby Bressman, Pastor First Baptist Church; John Michael Burns, John Michael Burns Insurance; Marcus Cameron, City of Center; Brandon Davis, Tyson Foods; Lori Davis, Shelby Savings Bank; Jeremy Fenley, Shelby Savings Bank; Allison Harbison, Shelby County Judge; Inez Hughes, Center ISD; Karen Jones, Pastor First United Methodist Church; Tammie Luman, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce; Jerrod Nutt, Mangum Funeral Home; Elizabeth Pinkston, Center Floral; Jose Solis, General Shelters; Andy Gardner, Austin Bank and Scott Stanfield, Farmers State Bank.
 
The class will meet for one day each month from September to April to study specific topics including education, local & state government, health & human services, economic development, energy, quality of life and heritage.
